Behind the Collection | "Adore", A Mini Valentines Collection

As much as Valentine’s Day can get a bad wrap, I truly love this little holiday. Maybe partly (or mostly) because it’s the day Shane proposed to me, but also I love any reason to spoil the ones I love most in my world. I believe love should be celebrated always–in the mundane days, the days when you feel extra lovey, and even on the days you don't because I believe every person on this earth is worthy of receiving and giving love.

AND I think it’s also nice to have a special day dedicated to being extra loved and telling your closest people how much they mean to you.

This year I decided to curate a little collection special for Valentine’s Day that combines all of the loveliest prints from the shop and a few more I recently painted that I think fit perfectly into the bunch.

I titled the collection “Adore” because I wanted you to have a sense of adoration when you looked at this collection as a whole and in turn adore them even more as they are placed in your own home. I hope you can feel the love poured into these paintings and given to you to experience the comforting feelings they bring and remind you of the beauty your life is worthy of.

This collection is full of pieces that are our most loved items, a few from our vault that I have put away for a bit but have since been requested a few times to come back– like this painting I created a few years ago. I also added in a few more pieces that I painted recently that I think fit perfectly within this curated collection.

Here’s some snippets of the new prints that are brand new to the collection and the meaning behind them:

“More Than Life Itself” a phrase my parents always said to us growing up and that I continue to say to my own kiddos now. This print also hangs on our wall among the little gallery wall I put together in our bedroom here you can see in the picture above. A sweet sentiment to gift for Valentine’s day that will still be just as sweet to read over and over again all year through.

“Worthy of the Loveliest”, a quote I wrote down when I thought about the truth that so many of us need to hear as we are walking the realities and pains life can bring our way. It’s easy to get distracted that our life isn’t worthy of meaning or beauty, but I hope this simple phrase brings a bit of that light and hope that reminds you in the times when distraction looms, that you really are worthy of the loveliest things.

"I Simply Adore You", I don't think it takes much to tell the ones we love how much we care about them. I think of this quote when I watch my kids playing or doing something I think is the cutest thing in the world or when I think of how much Shane makes me laugh when he's fully himself. To tell them we adore them just as they are can say and mean so much.

“Blooms for you” I painted as I was dabbling with new color palettes for this year and it came out in these florals and blooms that I thought brought a loveliness and brightness to the collection.

"Colorful Hearts", the last of the newest prints is a playful and colorful piece that is perfect for any kid's room or nursery for an extra pop of color and fun.

A handful of greeting cards are available in the collection that have continued to be best sellers. I also added in these jotters I thought could make a simple and sweet gift for your best gals for celebrating Galentine’s day too!
