Playhouse Revamp Before Pics | Inspiration Board & Ideas
Summer is just about here and more time spent with the kids has me all inspired to get creative around the house with them. We’ve had this playhouse on our back patio for years and they have grown up playing all sorts of things in it. It’s pretty rickety, so as I was cleaning off our outdoor seating area I knew revamping their beloved playhouse could bring some new beauty and inspiration to their outdoor playtime.
Penny (my 4 year old) and I grabbed some old paint I found lying around the other day and went to town painting the outside. Once I loved the color and saw how much a new paint job instantly made it look so much better already, I went down the Pinterest rabbit hole and my creative juices started flowing.
Playhouse Before:
Ultimately, with the input of my oldest girls, we came up with the idea to make this old playhouse turn into a little cafe. The design idea is perfectly fitting for my kid’s love of baking, art projects, and my love of cute quaint coffee shops. Ooh the vision I have on this is going to be soooo fun to see come to life!
So I’m taking you along for the creative journey as we turn this beloved little playhouse into something beautiful. And I hope it inspires you along the way to collaborate with your own kiddos to get creative and revive some things around your home too.
Inspiration Vision Board:
I pulled together an inspiration board to get my vision down and see how to make this come to life. I started an Amazon list here with some of the things I’m grabbing and soon we’ll go thrifting for some more items to fill the inside with. I can’t wait!
